ABOUT
El Wood is a certified Intimacy Coordinator based in the UK. She is a Level 2 Intimacy Coordinator on the Bectu IC Registry and is part of the Bectu working group developing guidance for Intimacy Coordinators working with under-18s.
El trained with the SAG-AFTRA-accredited Intimacy Directors & Coordinators (IDC) in New York, learning under leading practitioners including Claire Warden (West Side Story, Billions) and Marcus Watson (Maestro, Succession, American Horror Story) ,Leading figures in the field of Intimacy Coordination and Direction.
In the UK, El received mentorship from Jenefer Odell and assisted on the BAFTA-nominated film Blue Jean by Georgia Oakley, and How to Have Sex by Molly Manning Walker, winner of the Un Certain Regard prize at Cannes 2023.
Alongside her professional practice, El continues to develop her knowledge through ongoing study and specialist training. Her approach is informed by her current studies in humanistic counselling, alongside training in trauma-informed practice, Laban movement, safeguarding, non-consensual intimacy, kink/BDSM, power dynamics, and anti-racist practice. She is also a qualified Mental Health First Aider and holds a current DBS certificate.
